Very difficult to walk through this door and not buy a pair of shoes! You can't be in Ballymena and not visit Fred Funk!
Will never darken the door again! My wife bought me shoes as a Christmas present in November. The advertised policy then (still on Facebook page) was buy in November and could exchange up until 5th January. She phoned the shop and was advised to order them online as it made it easier for exchanges etc. Shoes didnt fit and she brought them back by 5th January. She exchanged them for another pair of shoes which were reduced on sale but which she had to pay an extra 15 pounds for.I work away from home so didnt get a chance to try the new ones until today (12th jan). Although they were my size the style didnt fit so I brought them in myself to exchange. Customer service from the off was horrible, I was made to feel like an inconvenience to them. Anyway, found a pair that fitted and brought them up to the til. They were reduced on sale like the ones my wife paid extra for last week except they were 15 pounds cheaper, ie the price my wife originally paid. I asked for the refund to be told that wasnt the policy and Id get an exchange. Someone informed me that they had done my wife a favour last week when they exchanged them. I asked the guy who was dealing with me what their policy was? His reply 14 days mate, this despite the fact that they are still advertising their November and 5th of January exchange offer on their Facebook page and my exchange today was within 14 days of the 5th.Attitude was extremely unhelpful and made to feel like I was asking for something I wasnt entitled to as they merely took 15 pounds off my wife last week with no justification as I exchanged for a cheaper pair of shoes today. I informed the guy thats how you lose custom, I wont be back to which he replied thats ok, demonstrating absolutely no customer service skills in the process. As I was walking out of the shop I could clearly hear a short dark haired girl who was also serving at the til tell the women she was serving and this in the queue theres always one. When I informed her Id heard it she didnt even speak and merely looked at the counter.Total lack of professionalism and absolutely no class at all. Its not the sum of 15 pounds but its the principle and attitude. I have bought my wife numerous pairs of shoes and boots in fred funk over the years, but todays experience means I will take my custom to a more classy establishment in the future.
