Crooks !!! In 2008 this mob delivered 900L of heating oil to my tank which was empty as l checked it the night before. It was a brand new heating system l had installed and apart from a previous 300L delivery from another oil company to test the burner - this was my first fill of oil. When l came home from work my burner wouldn't start and so an engineer came out. Turns out there was water in the oil. Lots of it. WR Kennedy had delivered water with my oil. It broke my brand new heating system which then needed flushed out etc. A stick with special gel that turns colour on contact with water was inserted in my tank and confirmed the entire bottom half of my tank was pure water - approx 400L !!! WR Kennedy cme out and put a big hose in the tank removed the water plus a hundred litres of oil as a "goodwill gesture" . The girl in the office was very helpful though. She told me my delivery was first of the day (as I had ran out ) but that no-one else has received water that day. I tried to figure out what happened and the penny finally dropped when she said that oil trucks pump from the bottom. That meant as mine was the first delivery of the day the water, which always sits below oil when they mix, was at the bottom, it was obviously pumped into my tank only. That left me with a repair bill and only 400L of actual oil. WR Kennedy refused to accept any liability and then sent me a bill for the full 900L of oil !!!! I was furious and couldnt believe their audacity. Considering half of it was water l was dumbstruck. I agreed to pay them for 400L that l actually recieved minus the repair bill and even that was very generous considering how much trouble it caused me. These "fine upstanding" moral trailblazers refused my offer and took me to small claims court in Ballymena. They falsified delivery dockets and perjured themselves by saying my delivery was smack in the middle of the drivers run. Therefore they said no one before or after me got water and they don't know how the water got there. Either way it wasn't their fault. The judge agreed and said he didnt doubt that there was a large amount of water was there - but it clearly wasnt WR Kennedy's fault !! He then awarded them the full amount of 900L oil, plus court costs - plus l had to repair my own heating system - in winter - with small children in the house. Horrible company. Liars. No moral fibre.Stay well away !!!
No hassle, pay at pump fuel
I had ran out of heating oil at my house in Ahoghill and called a number of suppliers in the Ballymena Area. W R Kennedy were the cheapest quote i received for 1000 litres and despite being very busy, they managed to fit my delivery in the next morning. The staff were very accommodating and i am extremely satisfied with the prompt delivery. I wont bother wasting my time calling anyone else the next time i need oil and i would recommend them to anyone. Thank you very much.
